BOW TIME CHAMPAGNE CLASSES
To create special tuxedo glad champagne glasses, get champagne glasses from the Dollar Store and super glue a pre-made bow tie from the art store or tie your own bow and 3 black jewels to the front of a champagne flute.
THE HEART’S CONTENT
6 fresh blackberries
½ a lemon wedge
1 tablespoon simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water, heated until dissolved but do not boil; then cooled)
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce St. Germaine elderflower liqueur
Champagne, to top
Muddle the fresh blackberries and lemon in a cocktail shaker. If bitter, add ½ a teaspoon of simple syrup. Add ice, vodka, and St. Germain, and shake. Strain into a champagne flute and top gently with champagne, letting the foam subside and topping again until the glass is full and garnish with a blackberry
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
4 rosemary sprigs, cut to 4 inches
1 and ½ ounce vodka
¾ ounce of Poire Williams (clear pear brandy)
½ a pear
Bring sugar and water to boil in small saucepan, stirring to dissolve sugar.
Add rosemary sprigs.
Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes.
Cool mixture completely and pull out rosemary for garnish.
Mix tablespoon of rosemary syrup, vodka and Poire Williams in a shaker with ice.
Strain into a martini glass
To garnish remove core from half a pair and slice a razor thin sliver of a quarter of a pear. Lay the pear sliver across the cocktail and slide in a small stalk of rosemary. Enjoy responsibly!
