Do you know how much we spend on every Father’s Day? I actually took the time to check this out – we spend more than $12 billion dollars every year on presents for dads on this day alone!
It’s not like they don’t deserve it, on the contrary – I want you to urge your kids to show some gratitude for that father figure in their life, and do something extra special for them this year.
And I’m not just talking about giving them some money to get them a present. That’s not that special. What I want to share with you are some last-minute practical and thoughtful. DIY ideas that I had the pleasure of testing out myself. The best thing about them – they are also great as last minute Father’s Day Gifts for those who haven’t got the chance to take your kids shopping in time.
But before we start, let me ask you something – What is the most popular present that dads all across the United States will get on Sunday? You guessed it – gift cards!
So without further ado, let me show you what you can do for your man of the house today, brought to you by your women of today!
Men’s DIY Tie & Other Cool Ideas
This is definitely a throwback video that you’ll love! I made this short video which features quite a few amazing DIY craft ideas for birthday gifts a while ago, and this was the first thing I remembered when I started thinking about Father’s Day.
DIY ties! All you need is some fabric paint, it can be in spray or any other type that you find, just make sure that they are safe for kids. I know that your kids will love to play around and design their own tie for their dad!
If you need more inspiration, check out the video, and you’ll find some other really cool DIY ideas!
I remember being asked to do this video, and I had a lot of fun making it! We filmed this for Kindness Day, and I made some really tasty healthy snacks! What a surprise, right? We had fun making healthy pizza and strawberry granola yogurt bark, but I also made some crazy cool tea mugs! Although, if you also make him some of these snacks, he will probably love those as well.
It’s a super simple DIY project, and once again – your kids will definitely enjoy making these, you just need to make sure that you use your dad’s favorite color!
If you visit my post from last February, you will find all of these recipes, along with the instructions on how to make these cute mugs that you see here, all in details. I really like how mine turned out, and one more thing that is great about decorating porcelain mugs – you can always use some nail polish remover on a cotton ball to clean your mug if you’re not happy with your design. And then you can start all over again.
We all know that saying – a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach! Same goes for dads. If you are planning on preparing something extra special for this Father’s Day, and you want to really bring something exquisite and delicious to the table, these Bacon Roses are the way to go!
Take a look how amazing they are!
They might seem like a challenging recipe, but trust me – you got this! Kids will enjoy making these with you as well, it’s both an exciting and a mouth-watering DIY project. You can find a full recipe in my video right here that we made for Valentine’s Day.
And that is it for today! I hope that you and your special man, and your kids will spend a great Sunday together, and don’t forget to call your fathers as well. It’s the only day in the year when they get some attention and gratitude, so don’t miss out on a chance to tell them how much you appreciate them.
