I am so excited to take you guys behind the scenes at my favorite place for Brazilian street food in Austin: Boteco. This food truck is the REAL DEAL, and the owner Fernando (who is from the same home town as me in Brazil!), has catered my last two two birthday parties. He was kind enough to host me and take me inside the truck to see how they make one of my favorite Brazilian dishes, Moqueca Baiana (Brazilian Fish Stew) — A coconut milk-based stew that is unbelievably flavorful, and is served with rice and farofa (a toasted cassava flour mixture).
Guys, we devoured this dish … along with some yucca fries and caipirinhas I’m so excited to be able to share the recipe with you all so that you can make it at home. If you are in the Austin area, Boteco is NOT to be missed for authentic, real-deal Brazilian food (and tell Fernando that I say hi!).
Enjoy! Beijos xx
