A couple of years ago, I had to have surgery and the recovery was a difficult journey.
I lost my strength and couldn’t even lift my legs off the ground ….that’s when a friend introduced me to Margaret Pope, a functional, movement coach in London. Margie is way more than a traditional trainer; with a background in sports science, yoga, Ayurveda, rehab and she has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology and advanced massage therapy techniques. Her expertise is in whole-body healing, including the mind, spirit, digestion, general health and of course fitness. Margie, as I call her, was finally the one person that made recovery and a new changed lifestyle click for me. She helped me make long term changes in my mobility, habits, and lifestyle and that in turn not only aided my recovery but changed my life in a very positive way.
Margie and I had been working over the past few months on a Wellness program to share with the Women Of Today community. Our vision was to have you training and learning for a month and donate all the proceeds to charity. We would work towards sharing more advanced levels after the foundation was built! We were all set to shoot in London, where Margie lives when Covid -19 took the world by storm. We all know what happened next. So that program will be pushed to a future date.

Yet we found ourselves still wanting to help now, in any way possible, and thought about a way to kickstart the program remotely and still find a way to help others. Margie and I continue to host Instagram live sessions (on the WOT Instagram) each day to help us stay connected in solidarity and keep the body mobile during this time! This is not about pumping weights or losing weight, it is about building a foundation, feeding the soul and helping us build a healthy body and mind!
We also have an opportunity here to help as a big WOT Community! Matthew and I are teaming up through our Just Keep Livin Foundation with local and national organizations to help provide meals to the children and families who once relied on them through their schools.
