DIY Snowy Cranberry + Kale Cups Décor

Discover the story

I love this time of year, especially because I get to spend more time in the kitchen coming up with holiday recipes. One thing I noticed this year though was that even though the rest of my house is starting to look a lot like Christmas, my kitchen was lacking any fun décor. So, I decided to come up with these festive little Snowy Cranberry + Kale Cups to brighten up the counter top. They are so easy to make, and the kids really like them (plus it can become their job to replace the kale once it wilts).

You can pick up everything you need from a grocery store or Target very inexpensively. You will need:

To assemble your Snowy Cranberry + Kale Kitchen Cups:

Start by filling the bottom 1/3 of each cup with Epsom Salt (the salt is meant to look like snow). Next, fill the next third of each cup with cranberries. Finally, top your cups off with fresh kale. To make your kale color and texture pop, rinse it under cold water for a few seconds before placing it in the cup.

Display on your kitchen counter, and then replace the cranberries and kale as necessary. Just remember to keep out of reach of young kids so they don’t eat the salt. Happy holidays!
