Mint Julep

Servings 1 drink

Ingredients

  • 6-8 mint sprigs, leaves only
  • tsp agave nectar
  • ounces bourbon whiskey, we used Longbranch 
  • 1 heaping cup crushed ice 
  • Mint sprig, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a highball glass, muddle the mint leaves and agave nectar until well combined and the mint is fragrant.
  • Add the bourbon and enough crushed ice to fill the glass more than halfway. Then, stir and fold the crushed iced into the bourbon mint mixture using a spoon
  • Top with extra ice and give the drink another good stir.
  • Garnish with mint leaves and serve.
