Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Combine the corn syrup, butter, and sugar in a saucepan and heat on low until the sugar dissolves. Let cool for a few minutes off the heat.
In a large bowl, combine eggs, bourbon, salt, and vanilla. Then add the corn syrup mixture to it and whisk together.
Add the pecans and chocolate chips to the bowl and stir it a little. Don’t mix it too much because you’ll melt the chocolate.
Pour mixture into the pie crust and bake until golden, about 50 minutes.
