Sheet Pan Nachos

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1-2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lb ground turkey or beef
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional if you like spice)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 bag your favorite tortilla chips
Toppings
  • shredded cheese 
  • sautéed peppers and onions
  • jalapeño slices (optional if you like spice)
  • canned black beans, drained and rinsed 
  • chopped tomatoes 
  • chopped cilantro 
  • avocado slices
  • sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil, diced onion, and garlic. Sautee until onions are translucent. About 5 minutes. 
  • Add the ground turkey or beef along with the balance of the seasonings. Cook until the meat is well browned. 
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • On a baking sheet, cover the bottom with about one layer of tortilla chips. 
  • Sprinkle the meat mixture over your sheet pan of tortilla chips and top with any of the suggested toppings, except the avocado, and place in the oven for 5-8 minutes, until cheese has melted. 
  • If using avocado, add to the sheet pan after baking and serve with your favorite salsas or our Easiest Salsa Ever.
