Over medium-high heat, drizzle olive oil into a large saucepan. Add the garlic and a sprinkle of salt to release all the flavor and fragrance. Stir to combine.
Add onions, chopped carrot, and chopped tomato. Let it cook down for a minute until the onions are translucent. Add the chopped kale and stir to combine.
Add ground beef and break up evenly in the pan. *Tip - You can use a whisk to help break up the meat. Season beef with salt and pepper and cook beef until medium or medium-well.
Add both jars of the sauce to the pan. Increase the heat to high and bring sauce to a boil. Then reduce heat to low for a simmer.
The longer you cook the sauce, the more flavorful it becomes. Cook for a minimum of 20 minutes up until 60 minutes on a low simmer.
As the sauce finishes, add two basil leaves and three drizzles of honey.
While the sauce is simmering, cook your pasta.
Bring 6 quarts of salted water to a boil. Add pasta to boiling water and cook it until it is almost al dente. Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce.
The pasta will finish cooking in the meat sauce and will absorb even more flavor.
