Preheat oven to 350℉ and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add melted butter to a bowl and add sugar, water, and vanilla, and whisk until smooth.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture. Use a wooden spoon to combine.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Divide the mixture into eight portions and roll each piece into a ball.
Space out evenly on the baking sheet and slightly flatten.
Bake for 12 minutes or until golden. These cookies will not spread much when baking.
Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from the parchment paper.
