Dr. Galaria’s Blueberry Ginger Green Tea Skin Smoothie

Discover the story
The anti-aging smoothie a dermatologist actually drinks, straight from our beauty summit.

One of the most-asked questions at our beauty summit wasn’t about serums or lasers. It was simple: what does Dr. Galaria put in her own smoothie? Her answer: blueberries, matcha, kefir, leafy greens, ginger, a touch of natural sweetness, and creatine.

She chooses these ingredients because, in her words, they pack a very strong anti-aging punch. And it’s a recipe built for real life. Dr. Galaria keeps it flexible, often adding seasonal fruits or vegetables to vary the antioxidant value. Cherries, mangoes, and citrus are her favorite add-ins.

Why each ingredient earns its spot

  • Blueberries: One of the most potent antioxidants.
  • Matcha: The ultimate free radical scavenger and collagen protector.
  • Kefir: Microbiome support.
  • Spinach: Accelerates skin turnover.
  • Ginger: Anti-inflammatory and helps boost microcirculation.
  • Bananas or dates: Add sweetness plus trace minerals.
  • Creatine: Fuels your cells to boost dermal repair and supports muscle and brain health.

Servings 1

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries (organic or wild)
  • 1/2 tsp matcha (Dr. Galaria uses organic ceremonial matcha)
  • ½ cup plain kefir or a non-dairy alternative
  • 1 cup spinach or kale stems removed
  • ½ inch fresh ginger peeled
  • ½ ripe banana or 2 pitted Medjool dates for sweetness
  • 3-5 grams creatine monohydrate
  • About ⅓ cup water for blending

Instructions

  • Add the water, kefir, matcha, ginger, and creatine to the blender first so the powders mix in evenly.
  • Add the spinach or kale and blend until the greens are fully broken down.
  • Add the frozen blueberries and banana or dates, then blend until smooth, about 45–60 seconds.
  • Add a splash more water if it's too thick. Pour and enjoy right away.

Beauty routines often start at the bathroom sink. Dr. Galaria’s smoothie is a reminder that some of it starts in the kitchen.

As with any new supplement, check with your doctor before adding creatine, especially if you’re pregnant, nursing, or managing a health condition.
