Homemade Fall Apple Ginger Juice
Equipment
- Blender
Ingredients
- 4 medium apples (preferably crisp varieties like Honeycrisp or Gala), cored and sliced
- 2 ripe pear, cored and sliced
- 1 inch fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
- ¼ tsp pumpkin spice
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- pinch on nutmeg
- 1 cup water (optional, for a smoother juice consistency)
- ice cubes (optional for serving)
Instructions
- In a blender or juicer, combine the apple slices, pear slices, and grated ginger. Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add up to 1 cup of water for a thinner consistency.
- Stir in the pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg into the juice. Blend for an additional 10-15 seconds to incorporate the spices
- For a smoother texture, strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher, pressing to extract all the liquid.
- Pour the juice over ice cubes (if desired) and enjoy immediately! For a warm version, gently heat the juice on the stove for a cozy fall beverage.
