This Homemade Ginger Ale is the perfect alternative to a traditionally sugar-packed soda. Plus, it is good for you— ginger is an anti-inflammatory and aids in digestion!
WOT we love about this recipe: It is sweetened with maple syrup, and you can control the sweetness and how strong the ginger flavor is.
Homemade Ginger Ale
Ingredients
- 1 cup ginger, chopped
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 2 tbsp maple syrup (or your sweetener of choice)
- sparkling water
Instructions
- Add approximately 4 cups of water and ginger to a sauce pan. Bring to a boil and then cover and let sit for 30 minutes.
- Combine lemon juice and maple syrup in a separate cup.
- After the ginger concentrate has cooled, mix everything together, pour over ice, and top with sparkling water. *Ginger Ale mixture and sparkling water ratio should be 1:1*
