Homemade salad dressing may seem like a pain to make, but don't worry because this recipe is quick, easy, and worth trying!
It also happens to be one of Camila’s go-to ways to dress a salad. According to Ina Garten, it’s “much tastier than anything you can buy at a store”. She also says that it’s the one recipe everyone should know how to make!
Here’s how to make her favorite Creamy Vinaigrette:
Ina Garten's Creamy Vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup good olive oil
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp minced shallot
- 5 cup mesclun mix (or salad of your choice)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the oil, vinegar, mustard, honey, salt, pepper and shallots until the vinaigrette is emulsified.
- Toss the greens with enough dressing to moisten and serve immediately.
