A Super easy skewered appetizer that you will make over and over again!
Perfect for your next party, meet our Lettuce Wedge Bites. This is one of those all-time favorite recipes here at WOT that we tend to make again… and again… and again.
Packed with all the flavor of an iceberg wedge salad but in an appetizer-friendly form, it’s pretty much impossible not to love these little salad bites. We love to make them for any kind of party and place them on a nice wooden serving tray.
Lettuce Wedge Bites
Ingredients
- Iceberg lettuce
- grape tomatoes, sliced 2-3 pcs. per grape tomato
- turkey bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
- skewers, cut to 4" length
- 1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1/3 cup light mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup light sour cream
- 1 small clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. cider vinegar
- ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cut iceberg lettuce into chunks.
- Skewer the desired amount of tomatoes onto a skewer. Insert the skewer into the middle of the iceberg wedge.
- Top with the desired amount of blue cheese dressing and crumbled turkey bacon.
- Combine all ingredients into a bowl and stir. If you like a thinner dressing, add 1 tablespoon of milk.
