A perfectly balanced cocktail with just four simple ingredients!
Meet the Paper Plane, a refreshing cocktail introduced to us by community member @melichambliss, who first tried it in Saratoga. The Paper Plane has become a rising star on craft cocktail menus, and for good reason. This recipe is a perfectly balanced blend of bourbon, Aperol, Nonino Amaro, and fresh lemon juice that’s delightful to sip.
WOT we love most about this recipe is its simplicity! With just four equal parts of ingredients, it can easily be doubled for a crowd.

Paper Plane
Servings 1
Ingredients
- 1 oz Bourbon
- 1 oz Aperol
- 1 oz Nonino Amaro
- 1 oz Fresh lemon juice
Garnish
- 1 orange slice
Instructions
- Add 1 cup of ice to a bar glass or pitcher with a bar strainer. Pour all the ingredients over the ice and stir well to chill them.
- Using a strainer, pour the chilled cocktail into a cocktail glass.
- Top with an orange slice, and serve!
