Garlic Ginger Beef Skewers
Equipment
- 16 6” skewers
Ingredients
- 6 large cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- ½ tsp cumin
- 1 tsp turmeric or favorite curry powder
- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp Kosher salt
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1½ lbs NY Strip Steak, sliced into (16) ¼” thick slices
- Tzatziki Sauce
Instructions
- Combine all the marinade ingredients in a bowl and whisk well to combine.
- Add the sliced meat to the bowl. Cover and place in the refrigerator overnight. Alternately, you can place the sliced meat into a zip bag and pour the marinade over the steak pieces, and zip the bag closed.Massage the marinade into the steak pieces from outside of the bag and place in the refrigerator to marinate overnight. Turning a few times. Tip: We always place the bag into a bowl, just in case it were to leak.
- After the meat has marinated, thread the pieces onto the skewers and grill over high heat until the desired doneness is reached.
- Plate and serve with tzatziki sauce.
