This April 12th and 13th we had our sixth annual Mack, Jack & McConaughey (MJ&M), a 2-day charity benefit in Austin. This year was an incredible few days, and I’m so excited to be able to share with you all what the experience was like and tell you that we raised 3.9 million dollars this year!!!! Since MJ&M first started in 2013, the nonprofit has given nearly $7.5 million dollars to charitable organizations!!
This year, the funds we raised through MJ&M 2018 will support different charities and foundations that support kids health, community involvement and education. Our beneficiaries this year were: CureDuchenne, Dell Children’s Medical Center, HeartGift, just keep livin Foundation and The Rise School of Austin.
Throughout the two days, MJ&M held various events including a gala, two golf tournaments, a fashion show and a concert. Instead of just telling you all how great these events were, and how we were able to raise funds that would have an incredible impact on kids, I wanted to show you guys exactly how it all went …
DAY 1 OF MJ&M: The Gala
Backstage before the gala began, we met with some of the kids who have benefited from our selected charities and programs. It is so moving and powerful to see where the money you raise is going, and to meet the children who you are making an impact on. This guys is what it is ALL ABOUT!! Meeting these kids is all the motivation we need to keep MJ&M going!
The gala started and Mack, Jack and McConaughey hit the stage to welcome everyone and kick off the evening.
Everyone at the gala watched an amazing video (reposed at the top of this article) that highlighted all the work we have been doing to empower kids! It was really cool for everyone there to see exactly where their money is going! We then kicked off the live auction during dinner.
My husband had the pleasure of introducing our entertainment for the evening, the Dixie Chicks!!!
Guys, they were OUTSTANDING and put on such a great show! The evening was so much fun for everyone and we raised a lot of money that night!
DAY 2 OF MJ&M: The Alice + Olivia Fashion Show Presented by Neiman Marcus
My daughter and I had to rush that morning, and ducked backstage with the models to get some help with our hair before the show started!!

The ladies of MJ&M, Stacy, and I all had a meet and greet before the show started.

The set up outside the show was very cool! They transformed the space into an Alice + Olivia pop-up shop where attendees could shop!

After the show was done, we did a special Q&A session with Stacy.
I got to do a catwalk of my own as I was bringing the microphone to someone who had a question!
After the show, we headed to a lunch where one of the just keep livin students spoke about her experience with the foundation, and the positive impact that it has had on her. It was unbelievable how poised and articulate this 15 year old was standing up in front of 200 people to speak!!
Our dear friend and talented musician Butch Walker came by to do a special performance during lunch!
Women of Today even had a little something special in the gift bags for all the ladies who attended!

Before the second night of MJ&M got going, we had a VIP Reception for donors, and I had the pleasure of introducing the band (and good friends of mine!), The Mrs.
The evening concert kicked off with Mack, Jack and McConaughey hitting the stage once again to welcome everyone to the second evening!
We had ANOTHER live auction that was really successful, and raised yet MORE money for our amazing beneficiary charities.

What an amazing night this was!! Not only was the entertainment great, but to see everyone coming together to support these causes was remarkable.
I’m so proud to say that our sixth annual MJ&M was such a success! Mark your calendars, because we will be back in April 2019 to do it all over again and raise even more money to empower kids!
