Our Oscars Cocktail: The Silk Tie

The Academy Awards are almost here, and this year we are stepping up our cocktail game! On the menu is The Silk Tie … A delicious blend of vodka, pear and fresh rosemary. For an added ‘wow factor’, we suggest freezing your martini glasses before serving. We hope you enjoy!

The Silk Tie

For the Rosemary Syrup:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
4 rosemary sprigs, cut to 4 inches
To Make The Cocktail: 
1 and ½ ounce vodka
¾ ounce of Poire Williams (clear pear brandy)
½ a pear
For the Rosemary Syrup:
Bring sugar and water to boil in small saucepan, stirring to dissolve sugar.
Add rosemary sprigs.
Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes.
Cool mixture completely and pull out rosemary for garnish.
To Make The Cocktail: 
Mix tablespoon of rosemary syrup, vodka and Poire Williams in a shaker with ice.
Strain into a martini glass
To garnish remove core from half a pair and slice a razor thin sliver of a quarter of a pear. Lay the pear sliver across the cocktail and slide in a small stalk of rosemary.
