Perfect for the cozy season, meet this seasonal cocktail with a Brazilian twist!
The Caipirinha is Brazil’s national cocktail, so naturally, we were so excited to find a twist on this drink that is perfect for the season! With touches of fresh grated ginger and pumpkin puree, this seasonal version of the classic Caipirinha is delicious.
If you aren’t familiar with a caipirinha, it calls for cachaça, a popular distilled spirit from Brazil made from sugarcane. You should be able to find cachaça wherever hard alcohol is sold as it is not too hard to find.
Pumpkin Caipirinha
Ingredients
- 1/2 lime, cut into 4 pieces
- 1/2 oz. agave nectar
- 1 tsp. fresh grated ginger
- 1-1/2 oz. cachaca
- 1-1/2 oz. plain homemade pumpkin puree
- nutmeg
- lime wheel
Instructions
- Muddle the lime, agave nectar, and fresh ginger in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
- Add cachaca, pumpkin puree, and ice.
- Shake until thoroughly mixed and chilled.
- Strain into a glass filled with ice, and garnish with grated nutmeg and a lime wheel.
