Salty Seattle Shows Us How To Celebrate With Pasta

Discover the story

I recently discovered Salty Seattle on Instagram, and I am officially obsessed! If you haven’t heard of it before, Salty Seattle is a brand that specializes in amazing plant dyed pasta creations by Linda Miller Nicholson. Linda is an internationally-recognized pasta powerhouse, whose work has been featured in Saveur, Good Housekeeping, Buzzfeed, Elle, the BBC, and Business Insider, to name a few. Throughout the past year, she has made pasta art for Katy Perry, Mario Batali and the cast of The Chew, and with Harry Connick Jr … And today, she has been kind enough to create some custom pasta for us here at Women of Today!!

There was a LOT to celebrate this week … It was Fourth of July (which meant lots of celebrating), but on another hand my heart is broken because Brasil is no longer part of the  World Cup!!!  So, I had to find a way to be creative and eat my heart out and to cheer up the kids and myself with the loss …We have been football obsessed in my house this week, and so I reached out to Linda to see if she could create some fun pasta to help me represent and share her work back with you guys! What she came up with is nothing short of amazing … and at least I can still represent Brasil … Have a look:

Here are a few more of her creations that I have me in total awe!!

If you’re dying to know how she does it (like I am), then you are in luck because she will be releasing a Salty Seattle book soon. The book will have 30+ recipes for different colors of dough (both sheeted & rolled, as in gnocchi). In it, she will explain thoroughly how to make each color. There are also tons of recipes for shapes, patterns, & sauces.

Head over to the Salty Seattle Instagram for more of her beautiful creations!
