The WellNutt’s Hearts of Palm Summer Salad

Looking for a new summer salad that you can make on repeat? This one might just be your new favorite!

Today, we welcome back to WOT Karli from The WellNutt who is sharing her Hearts of Palm Salad. Inspired by a salad she ate in Florida that had avocado, hearts of palm and tomato and added some parm crisps for extra crunch this salad is a recreation and a total win.

Karli is not alone in loving hearts of palm, they also happen to be one of Camila’s go-to salad ingredients. Aside from being delicious, they also have some great nutritional benefits including being a plentiful source of several minerals, including potassium, copper, phosphorus, and zinc.

This salad comes with a beautiful dressing recipe but you can also just keep it simple with some olive oil, salt, and pepper and the recipe would still be delicious.

The WellNutt's Hearts of Palm Summer Salad


Salad ingredients
  • 2 cans hearts of palm, sliced
  • 1 small container cherry tomatoes, halved or quartered
  • 1-2 avocado, sliced
  • 5 oz arugula
  • parmesan cheese crisps
Dressing ingredients
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tsp honey (recommend doing to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (recommend doing to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (recommend doing to taste)
  • parmesan cheese crisps


  • Add the salad ingredients to a bowl. In a small bowl, combine the dressing ingredients and mix well. Add desired amount of dressing over the salad and toss.
  • Top with parmesan cheese crisps! If you’re not going to eat it all at once, we recommend only dressing the portion you’re going to eat and saving the cheese crisps on the side for when you’re ready to eat so it doesn’t get soggy.
