Can we all agree that one of the best things about summer is fresh herbs?! We always find ourselves with a ton of fresh basil, and there is no better use for it than in pesto. So when we found this vegan + nut-free pesto recipe from Carolina at thecarolinalifestyle we knew we had to try it!
This recipe is perfect for when you need to pull a quick meal together. You can easily make it ahead and add it to salads, pasta, sandwiches, or vegetables.
Vegan Pesto
Ingredients
- Large handful fresh basil, washed
- ⅓ cup nutritional yeast
- ⅓ cup hemp seeds
- ¼ cup virgin olive oil
- 1 large lemon, juiced
- ¼ cup filtered water
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Blend all ingredient in blender until smooth.
