Bell Pepper Pizzas

Discover the story
Who says you need to have crust to have pizza?

Today we are sharing with you our tried and true recipe for these hand-held Bell Pepper Pizzas. It’s not hard to understand why we love these little personal pizzas so much. Not only are they better for you and eliminate the pizza crust but they are such a fun and tasty way to make personal pizzas.

Like with any pizza, you can absolutely top it with whatever you like… We chose to make the recipe below with pepperoni, but you can feel free to load these bell peppers up any way you want. This recipe is a fun way to get your kids involved in making their own meal as well. Try laying out a toppings bar and let them go ahead and build whatever style of Bell Pepper Pizza they like.

These are also fun to serve at your next party as an appetizer.

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Cut the peppers in half, cleaning out the seeds and ribs.
  • Position on a baking sheet with the cut side of the pepper facing up.
  • Brush the sauce inside each pepper half, coating well.
  • Sprinkle half the pepperoni inside each pepper, sprinkle with half the red pepper flakes, and half the basil.
  • Add the mozzarella cheese to each pepper and top with the balance of the pepperoni, red pepper flakes, and basil.
  • Bake for 20 - 25 minutes in the oven, until golden brown.
