After a workout, your body needs the right fuel to recover, rebuild, and keep you feeling energized. Whether you’ve crushed a strength session, powered through a cardio workout, or just wrapped up a restorative yoga flow, refueling with the proper nutrients is key.

Keep scrolling to see some of our favorite delicious and nutrient-packed post-workout recipes to keep you energized and on track with your health goals.

Toasted Pumpkin Seed Dip: This ancient Mayan recipe is sure to get attention around your table. And the best part…it’s better for you and vegan! The ancient Mayans were ingenious in crafting recipes with limited ingredients while still maximizing flavor. By toasting the pumpkin seeds, they added a hint of smokiness and nuttiness to this dip, complemented by a subtle kick of heat. GET THE RECIPE HERE

Loaded Hummus: This dip is not only delicious, but it makes for a beautiful presentation on the table at any gathering. While traditionally served with pita chips or toasted pitas, we’ve opted for a refreshing twist by pairing it with sliced fresh zucchini, but you can add any of your favorite veggies to create a crudité  platter for dipping. GET THE RECIPE HERE

Easy Savory Chicken Salad: The secret ingredient in this Easy Savory Chicken Salad (at least for a little while) is rosemary! Feel free to get creative, like we did, with what you put your Easy Savory Chicken Salad on.  We have tried toasted sourdough rounds, naan, mixed greens, and low-carb wraps. If you’re using wraps, try a little arugula in your wrap. GET THE RECIPE HERE

Smashed Chickpea Sandwich: This recipe is already healthy, but if you want to make it even better for you, we suggest using Greek yogurt instead of mayo. We promise you won’t even notice the difference! GET THE RECIPE HERE

Baked Falafel and Tzatziki: Falafel are a great protein rich dish that meat eaters and vegetarians alike will love. To cut back on calories these falafel are baked in the oven and served with a creamy fat free tzatziki. GET THE RECIPE HERE

BFY Homemade Gatorade: We’re bringing you our healthier twist on the classic sports drink. While store-bought sports drinks like Gatorade are convenient, they often contain artificial flavors, colors, and excess sugar. GET THE RECIPE HERE
